How to Install Android Oreo (Nitrogen OS) On Redmi Note 4

We are going to flash the nitrogen OS oreo Custom ROM for the Redmi note 4 and this is the latest oreo custom ROM with 8.1 android version and will have the latest Google security patch update.Nitrogen is the custom ROM built on AOSP base with access to great Features. I'm using this ROM as a daily driver on my device and really love this ROM when compared to MIUI, so all the stock Android lovers out there must try this ROM. So, let's begin the process and know how to flash this ROM on Redmi note 4.

Before we proceed for flashing there are some prerequisites to be marked out and these include.
  • Your bootloader must be unlocked.
  • Latest  RedWolf  TWRP Recovery should be installed on your device.
  • Your phone must have at least 70% battery.
  • Please backup all your important data we are not responsible for your data loss.
  • Anyhow will try to help you as much as we can if you did wrong.

Custom ROMs doesn't come with google play store and other apps installed, so get them we are going to flash Gapps package and while choosing Gapps package make sure that you select the package according to your processor architecture, here, in this case, Redmi note 4 have ARM64 architecture to know the architecture of your phone you can install CPU-Z app. Download the ROM, Gapps from the links and store them in your external Sd Card (memory card).

  • First, Boot your mobile into TWRP recovery
  • To do that Press and hold Power + Volume down button till you get a vibration.
  • After booted into TWRP recovery g the to backup section and backup all your data including your internal storage also.
  • After you backed up everything.
  • Go to wipe section and click on format data (only if you are flashing oreo ROM for the first time).
  • Make sure that this option will wipe your data and also your internal storage too.
  • If you have already flashed any Android oreo ROM on your device then you don't need to format data.
  • After you select format data option, type "YES" and your data, internal storage will be wiped.
  • Now come back to the main menu.
  • Now go to wipe menu again and click on the Advanced wipe and select system, data, cache, Dalvik cache and select wipe.
  • After wiping is done go to install option.
  • Now select the ROM zip file you stored in External sd card and swipe to flash.
  • After the flashing is done now select install zip and choose the Gapps package and flash it.
  • Now after Gapps package is flashed hit reboot now button.
  • Voila! you Android Oreo is successfully installed on your device and wait for the phone to boot up.
  • First boot may take 10-15 minutes, so don't be panic.
  • After the phone is booted up setup everything and enjoy the taste of Oreo on Redmi note 4.
